Baked Shrimp

EXCELLENT APP

Delicious Baked Shrimp is a great appetizer to begin any Italian dinner or serve it as part of a buffet. It’s quick and easy to make and flavored with olive oil and fresh lemon.

The shrimp is simply tossed in oil and coated with a mixture of herbs, cheese and bread crumbs and baked in the oven until done. This shrimp would look elegant served on a buffet table with a variety of Italian appetizers and it tastes so good.

INGREDIENTS

Villeroy & Boch 12-in. VIEUX LUX C-PLUS Baking Dish

  • 2 pounds of shrimp
  • 1 cup of seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup of fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup of parsley
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice

    PREPARATION

  • Peel and devein the shrimp leaving the tail on.
  • In a large bowl combine the garlic, cheese, parsley and breadcrumbs..
  • In another bowl combine the olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  • Toss the shrimp in the oil to coat the shrimp.
  • Dredge the shrimps in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place the shrimp in a buttered baking dish and bake for 20 minutes turning once.

    Serves around 12 people.
