Shut Up and Mangia!, Issue #054 - Italian -Style Pepper Steak
March 26, 2014

If your mother cooks Italian food, why should you go to a restaurant- Martin Scorsese

This tender steak recipe, served with onions and peppers, is packed with the flavor of garlic and oregano. Serve with a side of risotto or a nice steamed vegetable and you will have the perfect meal. This recipe is also great with pork or chicken. Enjoy! Mangia Italiano

Italian-Style Pepper Steak

Pepper steak has been around along time. It tastes great and is simple to make. We’ll just add some garlic, oregano and fresh plum tomatoes and Italianize it a little bit.

You could use fillet Mignon or sirloin for this dish though I prefer the tenderloin. The sweet flavors of the peppers and the tenderness of the steak will melt in your mouth like butter. You can serve this dish by itself or with a side of creamy Parmesan risotto.
