Beef Osso Bucco

INGREDIENTS


  • 4 beef shanks
  • 2 TBL. butter
  • 5 TBL. olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 1 TBL chopped chives
  • 4 bay leaves, whole
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 8 oz. beef broth

    PREPARATION

  • In a 9 x 13 glass pan, arrange beef shanks in a single layer.
  • In a separate pan,melt butter and add olive oil. Saute onion and garlic.
  • Pour over beef.
  • Sprinkle remaining ingredients on top in order.
  • Pour beef broth over all.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
