Meatballs for Dad

When my dad's having a bad day, it's easy to make it go away (like in this picture... I think!) by making meatballs! It's easy, but it works wonders! :)

Just mix a pound of ground beef, a cup or so of breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of diced onions, a half cup of ketchup, 1/4 cup of mayonnaise to keep it moist, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, 3 egg whites, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder (if you don't like them with too much garlic, reduce that), a sprinkle of basil, oregano, and pepper. Mix that all together well with your hands, and roll into balls about the size of golf balls. Set on a greased pan and bake for about 25 minutes at 350. I use a casserole dish and cover it with aluminum foil. I don't bake mine right in the sauce. He uses them for meatball sandwiches, but they're also great mixed with your favorite homemade Italian sauce and pasta!

Italian?

Looks like it's different here with the Ketchup and mayo ; I never heard of making Italian Meatballs that way in past years. It does remind me of an old style meatloaf recipe I made years ago with onions too! ;thanks.
