Chicken Cooked in Wine
Drunk ChickenChicken Cooked in Wine is one of my favorite one pot Italian recipes to make. The chicken absorbs all the delicious flavor of the wine and herbs. This dish is simple to make and goes great with a grilled polenta or garlic mashed potatoes. Pollo al Vin Cotto or Coq au Vin in French, is a traditional recipe. I love anything that involves slow braising of meats. Braising is one of the most rustic techniques in Italian cooking.
This is comfort food at its best. It’s perfect for a private family meal or for entertaining a few friends. You could also replace the chicken with a pork, beef, short ribs or veal shanks using the same ingredients. Each one tastes different and each one is equally delicious. Enjoy this Chicken Cooked in Wine recipe. You won‘t regret it.
