Vegetable Fritto Misto

Fried vegetables

Crispy

Traditional Fritto Misto consists of a combination of meats, seafood and vegetables which are breaded or battered and deep fried. It makes a delicious snack or a great way to start a meal.

When making this dish just make sure you use good quality oil with a high smoke point.. You can use sunflower seed, peanut or corn oil. Even a light olive oil is tasty. It’s also better to use a lot of oil and fry in small batches. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper right after frying.

Serve Vegetable Fritto Misto with a simple lemon mayonnaise sauce or a spicy marinara sauce to enhance the flavors of the vegetables.

  • 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
