Italian Coffee Recipes


Espresso


CAFFE ITALIANO

Try these great Italian coffee recipes by yourself, with friends and family or while eating a delicious dessert. There are many variations of coffee drinks you can enjoy. Just use your imagination and I’m sure you can come up with a great coffee drink to fit your personal taste.

I tend to be a creature of habit. Every time I go out to dinner I order a Sambuca Romano and throw it in my coffee. On occasion I’ll try a few other drinks but for the most part this is my favorite coffee drink for after dinner.

Classico Espresso

  • 1 oz. espresso
  • Poured into a demitasse cup
  • Served with a lemon twist

    Italian Coffee

  • 5 oz. of fresh brewed coffee
  • 1 oz. of Amaretto Di Sarrona
  • 1 oz. of brandy
  • Top with whipped cream
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon

    Mocha Latte

  • 1 oz of espresso
  • 1 oz of hot chocolate
  • 2 oz of cream
  • Topped with foam from frothed milk

    Cappuccino

  • 2 oz espresso poured in a cappuccino cup
  • 4 oz of foam from frothed milk
  • Sprinked with cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa powder or ground chocolate

    Café Latte

  • 4 oz of espresso
  • 4 oz of steamed milk
  • Ice cubes
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon

    Coffee Royale

  • 4 oz. of coffee
  • 1 oz. of Drambuie liquor
  • Topped with whipped cream

    Café Borgia

  • 4 oz. of coffee
  • 4 oz of hot chocolate
  • Top with whipped cream
  • Top with grated orange peel

    Espresso Anise

  • 1 oz espresso
  • 1/2 oz of anisette

    Mint Cappuccino

  • 2 oz of espresso poured into a cappuccino cup
  • 4 oz of foam from frothed milk
  • 1 oz of crème de menthe liquor

    Café Velluto

  • 1 double espresso
  • 1 vanilla bean pulp or 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • Crushed ice
  • Blend all the ingredients in a mixer and serve.
