Margherita Pizza

Pizza

PIZZA FIT FOR A QUEEN

As the story goes the Margherita Pizza was named after Queen Margherita of Savoy.

A pizzaiolo named Raffaele Esposito of Naples created this dish for the beloved Queen of Italy in 1889. The tomatoes, basil and rich mozzarella cheese represented the colors of the flag of Italy.

Only the finest and freshest ingredients were used for this pizza. Ingredients fit for a Queen. A Queen, who during her lifetime, encouraged artists and writers to cultivate their craft and founded the "Societa del Quartetto" and the "Casa di Dante", two of Italy's finest cultural institutions.

May this pizza reign forever.
