Panna Cotta

Silky

Panna Cotta is a light, silky delicious Italian dessert which is believes to have originated in the Northern Italian region of Piedmont. It is usually served with berries, chocolate or a caramel sauce. It is made by blending a heavy whipping cream, gelatin , honey and sugar.

There are many reasons to love this dessert. You can create a large spectrum of richness. You can create a light fluffy dessert or a rich creamy one. Flavor the panna cotta itself or just top it with various toppings.

My favorite topping is berries. Sweet strawberries, raspberries and blueberries are a perfect combination of flavor to go with this simple recipes. This dessert is great served with a nice Moscato or even a Prosecco. You could go as far as flavoring the panna cotta with the prosecco.. What ever you decide I am sure you'll love it.
